If you enjoy great food, live theater, interesting wine and fine dining, Downtown Toronto, East of Yonge, could be your area.

It's hard to determine the focal point of this vibrant district. You have Toronto's famous St. Lawrence Market - one of Canada's, and perhaps one of the world's, finest food Emporium's featuring freshly caught fish, exotic fruits and vegetables, fabulous meats, caviar, cheeses from around the world and outstanding pastries. You'll enjoy live ballet and theater at Toronto's Hummingbird Centre and the St. Lawrence Center for the Performing Arts,  and the area is home to many of Toronto's best restaurants.

It's a fascinating community with a rich mix of modern architecturally rich condominiums and historically significant buildings.  This is where Canada's Confederation began in the historical St. Lawrence Hall building.  This is also home to Toronto's iron building, historical Front Street and King Street East, and within walking distance to Toronto's fast paced financial and main business district.  On Saturdays, fresh fruits and vegetables are sold in the St. Lawrence farmers market and on Sunday, this building is the home of Toronto's "Sunday antique market" and show.

The area is a safe with people walking about all hours of the day and night.  Within a 10 minute walk of virtually any new condominium or resale condominium, you can find dozens of great restaurants.  (We recommend Toronto's The HotHouse Cafe for a wonderful award-winning Sunday brunch and a daily menu considered to be as creative as it is inexpensive -- and yet with outstanding food.)

Along with the St. Lawrence market, grocery shoppers will be delighted to have Loblaws flagship store in the south part of his neighborhood as well as Dominion's flagship 24-hour store located on front Street just across from the St. Lawrence market.  This area has everything and it's a great place to live.
